Hungry? NSERC to serve up valuable information… and lunch



    The Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) has partnered with the Vancouver Island Branch of the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering (CIMarE) at Marine Engineering – The New Wave 2014 to host a lunchtime panel session on day 1, June 12, 2014.

    The panel session “NSERC grants: accelerating technology development through academic partnerships” will provide an overview of grant applications. Experienced panelists will provide a brief overview of their project work, using grants to develop technology. A Question & Answer session with the audience will take place, and general networking during lunch time will follow.

    The Vancouver Island Branch of the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering (CIMarE) presents Marine Engineering – The New Wave‎ – a technical conference on new technology, challenges, and overlap in the ship, marine renewable, and ocean technology industries targeted for marine and ocean engineers, naval architects, government, and marine technology and business developers.

    The conference will take place June 12 and 13, 2014, on the West Coast of Canada, at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa, located on the shores of Victoria’s picturesque inner harbour.

    The two day event will feature guest speakers, relevant technical presentations, trade exhibition, an evening social event, and various networking opportunities.
