    Meeting of the Organizing Committee in early April

    The Organizing Committee has finalize the Presentation schedule for Marine Engineering – The New Wave, and is now contacting presenters too confirm their selection. We will be releasing the full schedule of Technical Presentations in a few days.

    The Technical Conference aspect has shaped up to be a very active and relevant program. Each presentations will be 20 minutes long with a 5 minute question period. There will be four sessions each day consisting of three presentation each.

    The Presentations are grouped into the following Sessions.

    Day One

    • Session 1 – Marine Operations 1 – 0900-1015 hrs
    • Session 2 – Marine Operations 2 – 1045-1200 hrs
    • Session 3 – Marine Design 1 – 1330-1445 hrs
    • Session 4 – Ocean Technology 1 – 1515-1605 hrs
    • Evening at the Museum, Social Event, 1830-2300 hrs

     

    Day Two

    • Session 5 – Marine Operations 3 – 0900-1015 hrs
    • Session 6 – Marine Operations 4 – 1045-1200 hrs
    • Session 7 – Marine Design 2 – 1330-1445 hrs
    • Session 8 – Ocean Technology 2 – 1515-1605 hrs

     

    Registration and Exhibition Areas will be open from 0730 hrs until 1730 hrs each day. Coffee breaks will last 30 minutes, with one in the morning, one in the afternoon; lunch will be 90 minutes long.

     

    About Marine Engineering – The New Wave

    The Vancouver Island Branch of the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering (CIMarE) is pleased to present “Marine Engineering : The New Wave“, a technical conference and exhibition for Marine Professionals.

    The conference will take place June 12 and 13, 2014, on the West Coast of Canada, at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa, located on the shores of Victoria’s picturesque inner harbour.

    The two day event will feature guest speakers, relevant technical presentations, trade exhibition, an evening social event, and various networking opportunities.
